1. Phenomenon
(1) The sealing strip is not well formed, and there are missing edges and broken edges.
(2) The elasticity of the sealing strip is not good, it cannot meet the functional requirements, and there are water seepage and air leakage.
(3) The sealing strip is not resistant to aging.
2. Reason analysis
(1) The grade of rubber raw material used to make the sealing strip does not meet the design requirements.
(2) The design of the extrusion die for the sealing strip is unreasonable, and the production process is imperfect.
3. Governance measures
(1) The rubber products used in the glass curtain wall should have the properties of anti-ultraviolet, anti-aging, small deformation, and no pollution, preferably EPDM and neoprene. The sealing strip should be extruded and the rubber block should be compression moulded.
(2) Before purchasing, the test report should be checked, the composition should meet the design requirements, the performance should meet the standard requirements, and the shape should meet the functional requirements.
